Telefilm Canada
Established in 1967 as the Canadian Film Development Corporation, and renamed in 1984, Telefilm Canada is a federal cultural agency dedicated to the development and promotion of the Canadian film, television, new media, and music industries.
Its mandate is to foster the development of a sustainable film industry in Canada through leadership, financial support, and initiatives that promote the success of diverse productions with wide appeal. Telefilm Canada's long-term goal is to grow a larger audience for Canadian cultural products, and to make Canadian content available to Canadian viewers.
