POUR LA SUITE DU MONDE
Filmmakers were drawn to Île-aux-Coudres for two reasons: the language spoken by the locals and the Beluga whale hunt. Through the magic of words and the mystery of the catch, the film uncovers a spirituality rooted in the mysteries of the moon, ancestral traditions, the power of the tides, the sacredness of tradition, and a feeling of connection with the animal kingdom. The discussions, joyful Mid-Lent celebrations, and fishing on the sea in rhythm with the moon and the tides have made this film more than just a documentary. It is an original work of art, depicting the motivations, myths and legends of a seafaring community.
