The Act to Provide for the Establishment of the Canadian Film Development Corporation (Bill C-204) was introduced in June 1966 and passed in March 1967. Bill C-204 resulted in the creation of the Canadian Film Development Corporation (CFDC) in 1968, a recommendation of the Firestone Committee (1964-1965).
