Asa has never worked a day in his life. He’s a composer on a trust fund and manages to live a wonderful bohemian lifestyle at the dilapidated Empress Hotel, spending most of his time writing songs and seducing women. The only thing he loves more than old music is his son Michael. One day he faces an ultimatum from his ex-wife, Michael’s mother: straighten up and face his responsibilities, or lose Michael.
