BARBIERS, UNE HISTOIRE D'HOMMES

Documentary on barbershops, places of fellowship reserved for men. These barbers, accustomed to receive confidences, reveal themselves without shame. We discover dedicated men who know themselves to be in the twilight of their lives, much like their ancient craft.

À FORCE DE RÊVES

Directed by Serge Giguère, a renowned Quebec filmmaker, À FORCE DE RÉVES is about five people between 72 and 94 years of age. Their names are Reine Décarie, Gerard Allaire, Marc-Andre Peloquin, Ray Monde and Jean Lacasse. They make music, paint or build model airplanes, work the land or are passionate about antiques. Giguère watches them with freedom, building with his camera a living mosaic around the subjects. Even though the subject of death surrounds them, À FORCE DE RÉVES illustrates the warmth and joy of life that emanates from them.
