Gary Maavara
Gary Maavara is currently the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Corus Entertainment.
Maavara started his career at CFCF, a CTV affiliate in Montréal. In 1979, he left to attend law school, and went to Osgood in Toronto, where he worked for David Harrison, who was at Harrison, Young, Pesanon, and Newell. After law school, he practiced on Bay Street for five years before returning to CTV. At CTV, he served a number of roles, including General Counsel, Head of Engineering and Head of Programming.
