Canadian Feature Film Fund (Telefilm Canada)
The Canadian Feature Film Fund (CFFF), created as the key program of the From Script to Screen policy, assists filmmakers through screenwriting, development, production and marketing programs. CFFF, administered by Telefilm Canada, aims to increase Canadian film diversity and support the promotion of feature films that have high box-office potential.
The fund was established in 2001 and aims not only to produce Canadian films, but to increase audiences for Canadian films in theatres throughout the country. In 2012, Telefilm Canada announced changes that would limit applicants to production companies having produced at least one theatrically released fictional feature film in the past five years. A new funding program is being developed to support new talent in the audiovisual and digital media industries.
