This African film was produced by and for Africans. Wamba takes us on a journey into the social fabric of a country that is struggling between accepting Western ‘‘progress’’ and maintaining its religious roots. A young man from the upper class, who has fallen in love with a lower class girl, attempts to deal with an uncompromising society so that he can openly display his love. Interesting from an ethnic, social, political and folkloric perspective.
