After 20 years of marriage, Sophie leaves Gilles for another man. As devastating as this is for Gilles, it is also the starting block for an incredible comedy of manners. In order to put his life back together, Gilles uses every imaginable and unimaginable method, He runs the gamut from trying the latest dubious psychiatric therapies all the way to abusing drugs, and he meets new women in between. But nothing prevents him from going completely off the tracks and sinking slowly but surely into delirium. The comedy reaches new heights when Gilles learns that Sophie is going to remarry. Will he be able to win her back before the big day?
