Tierra Y Libertad

93 minutes, 1977

Tierra y Libertad is the name of a front of former Mexican peasants who have squatted in and around the town of Monterrey, in Mexico’s northern industrial sector. They have taken over city lands and built their own style of society. The film describes this odd situation that has affected close to 250 000 dispossesed persons, and is happening in many Latin American towns.
