138 minutes, 2004

At the beginning of the century, a stranger comes to disturb the life of a small community of Chenal du Moine, a village closed in on itself. The man, who does not identify himself, is called the Outlander. An adventurer who scorns conventions and parochialism, the Outlander shake the certainties and scandalizes, but he also garners the admiration and even love of some citizens. The Outlander will leave as he came, but his passage will open the inhabitants of the Chenal du Moine to reality and the dream of the "wide world".
