With his unique talent, Olivier Guimond became the most popular comic Québec has ever known. This film illustrates his career on stage and on television. It was a golden age for burlesque and everyone who had a ‘‘shtick’’. A collection of his acts, from the most famous to the lesser known ones, this film presents the very best of the man ‘‘who could makes the stars laugh’’. This portrait of the man and the artist consists primarily of archive footage: more than 120 clips, from sixty or so original programs, were chosen to pay him tribute.
