Catherine, a musician, and Charlotte, her seven-year old daughter, leave Montreal for Vancouver. In the train they have boarded, Catherine meets Vincent. Their meeting unfolds first as a dream and fantasy; then a mixture of desire and tenderness takes shape. They abandon themselves to a love they had never known until then. The film shows the birth, emergence and rush of passion for two individuals who believed they had lost their ability to experience an emotion that is as intense as it is unexpected.
