Rita, Jacques, Catherine and Marie all live in the same world even though they live in four different countries – the country of aphasia. A diagnosis of aphasia is a terrible shock, as if silence were to come crashing down on one’s life forever. Words abandon the mind until they gradually find their place in the memory. Winter gradually gives way to spring, in the hope that summer will come.
