1989

Simon chucks it all in and starts from scratch. Fed up with his profession, he quits his job and ends a love affair that has grown stale over time. He sells everything he has and crosses the border into the United States in order to live in a seaside house in Moody Beach that he had inherited from his mother. He finds a woman squatting there. Despite her rather unconvincing explanations, he falls madly in love with her. An uprooted man quashes his desires, except his desire for a woman whose lies and whose lies take on a cloak of truth. He endeavours to give himself time; she believes her time is up. Simon wants to get to the heart of the matter. Will their passion withstand the inexorable game of truth?
