This film tells the story of Paul Kadar, architect and musician, who while visiting Budapest and staring into the Danube River, has a fainting spell and plunges into the water. It also portrays his adoptive son, Roland, who travels around the world several years later. Through this trip, he tries to complete a piece of music found on his father's body following his death.
