Gilles Carle, the prolific filmmaker of "LA VRAIE NATURE DE BERNADETTE" and MARIE CHAPDELAINE fiercely struggles against Parkinson's disease for almost fifteen years. While taking into account the latest script of the filmmaker ,completed in 2000 titled "MONA MCGILL ET SON VIEUX PERE MALADE", Charles Biname's film, shot over a period of just over two years, takes a sharp and friendly look at this this lucid and courageous creator grappling with the prospect of suffering and death. A serious issue, but highlights the strong will to live and create. A film that is steeped in all the light and the love of Chloe St. Mary, who has shared in the life of the famous director for twenty-two years.
