EVERYTHING'S GONE GREEN is Douglas Coupland's first story written specifically for the screen. Ryan, a loveable 20 year old, falls into a job as a reporter/photographer for Winners!, a shoddy local lottery magazine that's given away at supermarkets. As things look dismal, he is tempted into a money-laundering scheme that rewards him with material goods and the opportunity to live closer to the woman with whom he has found a wonderful connection. But, is the money a ticket to happy life? The film raises new questions about the period in which we live: Is it possible to just drift into the new century? Is the middle-class facing extinction? When is "enough" really enough? And, is there any hope that not everyone wants to be a millionaire?
