Ever since Maude has left him, nothing is going right for Denis Dupuis. Despondent, he throws himself into looking for her, wandering in the night and even giving up his study of music. During his quest, he meets Simone, whom he soon sees as the “woman of his dreams.” Forgetting his broken heart, he sets out to seduce her. But little Simone, in the wisdom of her 18 years, is not the type to fall for the first man who comes her way. Despite the advice of his inseparable friend, Filou (a total womanizer and master punster), Denis’ conquest of Simone will turn out to be a long and delicate undertaking. This is because he is not the type to show his feelings, while Simone has always avoided men nursing broken hearts like the plague.
