In the 1950s, young Aimée Sylvestre set off for France intending to make a career there. Forty years later, Dominique Michel is now one of the most popular artists in Quebec. The interviews and accounts by friends and colleagues in this documentary reveal a warm, unpretentious and determined woman. Over 200 excerpts from her best acts, some of which have been released here for the first time, enliven this portrait of a woman who throughout her long career has both made us laugh and moved us with performances on albums, on stage, on the radio, in clubs, on television and on the big screen.
