Dr. Samantha Goodman, a psychiatrist, joins her husband and sister for a weekend at a winter cottage when an unexpected guest arrives and changes everything. Harlan Payne, a violent sexual offender, is convinced that Dr. Goodman conducted unethical experiments on him while he was being treated by her. With the help of his troubled yet eager friend, Harlan forces Samantha and her family to partake in a series of nightmarish psychological games designed to bring out the truth and reap vengeance. On this night of terror, escape is not an option, the truth guarantees nothing, and revenge is not necessarily sweet.
