Jean-Marie Couturier, a former hippie musician turned countryside parish priest, has his world shooken up when he has a surprise visit by the daughters of an ex-girlfriend, who has been accused of money laundering. With a somewhat unorthodox approach to begin with, he is now faced with the harsh reality of ‘‘true Christian charity’’. Faced with a judgemental teen and young girl with a fertile imagination, he can only fight back with his undying faith and his high-spirited nature. To save the two girls and their mother from the seedy criminal element, he makes a crazy, bold move that lands him in jail. There he finds the ‘‘real parish’’ that he has always dreamed of.
