Anne Shirley leaves her home in Avonlea to take up a teaching position at a prestigious girls' boarding school. She has refused the marriage proposal of Gilbert Blythe and still dreams of becoming a successful writer. In this program, Anne spends a year at the boarding school and meets dashing Captain Morgan Harris and his family.
