Jessie probably has everything that she could possibly want--a peaceful life, a man she loves, a good job, the respect of her peers--when she suddenly learns that she might be dying. She decides to drop everything and live life to its fullest, or at least die trying. With much humour, she decides to take a trip, perhaps one with no end. She wants to begin her trip immediately, to take off for Melanesia. But there are no flights heading to that destination...She starts her trip without waiting any longer, exactly where she finds herself. Rather than returning to her apartment, she finds a hotel. She changes her travel plans and become a traveler in her own city, encountering a whole new world that she never would have given a second glance under other circumstances. Her life becomes a game; she is filled with lightness, exuberance, generosity and the joy of being alive. Warm-hearted and fragile, Jessie finds happiness in being of this world.
